French Marquetry Drop Front Desk or Bar, Marble Top

This well appointed dropfront desk or bar has diamond matched marquetry. It has a marble top and lavish bronze mounts with female heads and paw feet. Brass arms support the drop front, which has a gold tooled leather top. Inside are glass shelves and small drawers. There have been minor repairs to the intricate rosewood and mahogany marquetry, see photos, and the finish is original.
The flawless marble top has radiant veining. Artful and graceful curves adorn this vintage furniture from France about 1930, also called a "secretaire or abbatant." Dimensions are 32" wide, 16" deep, 5' tall, the leather top is 31" above the floor.
