Georgian Chippendale Mahogany Secretary Desk

This mahogany secretary desk has traditional Georgian or Chippendale design with claw and ball feet, a curving serpentine front and secret compartments among the cubbyholes and tiny curved drawers inside.
Splendid workmanship dates this vintage furniture to the 1930's. A clever brass mechanism automatically extends supports for the lid when opened.
The gleaming finish is superb, and the heavy brasses are original on the dovetailed lower drawers.
Size is 36" wide, 20" deep, 43" tall, and the writing surface is 31" above the floor.
