Italian Piedmont Carved Walnut Sideboard or Backbar

Hand-carved of solid walnut about 1920, this grand sideboard, buffet or backbar has great storage and display area. The mostly original warm deep brown finish is excellent, with original hardware and hand dovetailed drawers.
Very solid, panels reflect traditional design from the Milan area in northern Italy, the Piedmont region. Tool marks from the master carver are clearly visible in the front panels, sides are raised rectangular panels. The triple arched top is imposing on this traditional antique furniture.
The upper section is removable for easier moving. Measurements are 5'11" wide, 22" deep, 5'2" tall and the base is 41" high.
