This solid mahogany Victorian gateleg dining or breakfast table would also serve beautifully as a sofa table with the dropleaves down.
The rich dark finish is excellent, the turned legs have wonderful proportions and this furniture has its original cast brass ferrules and wheels.
There are only minor mars at the edges and a few shrinkage separations, see photos.
To support the dropleaves, a leg swings out on a carved wooden hinge like a gate.
An authentic antique from about 1860, height is 28 1/2" tall, and closed size is 22" x 45" and with the leaves raised, size is 45" x 5'9" long.
