Entirely hand-made about 1820, this antique furniture shows both late Hepplewhite and early Empire design. This is an authentic New England chest of drawers or dresser made of cherry with mahogany drawer fronts.
Drawers have tiny hand-cut dovetails, square hand-cut nails are visible, and the satin finish is excellent. There are old mars and stains, especially in the top, for a little "character."
Generous storage and sturdy construction show the historic pride of Yankee workmanship. The matched flame grain and banding in the top drawer are especially lovely.
Size is 47" wide, 21" deep and 43" tall.
