Brought from Massachusetts, this oak and ash bench was said to have been used in a train station. Solid oak with some regluing and repairs as would be typical, the original finish has great patina, with just enough wear to show its age.
Made in the 1890's, this antique is very solid and usable - the rugged lower rungs and cross braces kept this furniture together for over 100 years. "Bent-wood" arms are characteristic of the period.
The curved slat seat is quite comfortable, and measurements are 6' long, 19" deep, 33" tall and the seat is over 17" high.
