Yankee straightforward purity of line is evident in this New England country pine corner cabinet or cupboard dating from about 1850.
The old glass in the doors is wavy, there are square nails and a hand dovetailed drawer. Waxed to a deep brown luster, the finish is excellent. Door panels and drawer bottom are hand-chamfered on this genuine antique furniture, and there are rails on the shelves to display plates. Solid and skillful construction shows elegant simplicity.
Size is 7' tall, width is 57" tip to tip, the depth is 2,' and when placed in a corner, the crown extends 3' along the wall from the inside corner.
