A charming Victorian wall clock from about 1870 is a rare hybrid antique, sold in England and in America. The exquisite walnut case has intricate inlaid marquetry banding and a crest, hand carved in England. The original finish is excellent, with wavy glass in the door.
The brass 8 day movement is American made, signed by famous maker, "New Haven" of Connecticut. It keeps excellent time and strikes the hour, the pendulum is original. The etched brass plate dial with engraved copper overlay is spectacular. This exquisite antique clock measures 16" wide, 33" tall and almost 7" deep.
