Pair of Renaissance Carved End Tables or Nightstands

This magnificent Renaissance design pair of walnut and matched burl end or bedside tables / nightstands has columns with Ionic capitals.

Majestic antique furniture crafted for a palazzo in northern Italy about 1915, the finish is excellent with wonderful warm patina and only slight wear. The carved artistry in high relief has grandeur and sophistication, boldly scaled and well proportioned.

Drawers have hand-cut dovetails and the cast bronze hardware is original. A true right and left pair, size is 26" wide, 18" deep, 40" tall and the top surface is 31" high.
