Beautifully crafted in "West Germany" about 60 years ago, a portable scale in a wooden travel case was probably intended for gold or drugs. A number of metric weights in grams are included, there is space for more. A knob raises and lowers the "scale of justice" to balance.

Nickel mounts are all in excellent condition. The case of this vintage scale measures 6 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide and 2" tall when closed.
