Renaissance Carved Oak Bookcase or China Cabinet

Richly hand carved in the Renaissance manner, a palatial oak bookcase or china cabinet has everything - columns, hand carved figures, grapevines, fruit, raised panels and old wavy glass.

The lustrous finish is excellent with wonderful warm patina - mostly original with minor mars at the edges. Interior shelves are adjustable on wooden supports.

Deep moldings and balanced proportions lend grandeur to this stately antique from about 1870. Drawers are hand-dovetailed, construction and carved detailing are masterful in every way.

For easier handling, this heroic furniture was built in three stacking sections. Dimensions are 7' 11" wide, 26" deep and 8' 6" tall.
