Brilliant craftsmanship and intricate marquetry characterize this elegant dropfront secretary desk with a bookcase top.
Dazzling European workmanship is evident everywhere on this vintage desk from about 1950. On the exterior and inside the dropfront are vivid floral designs and scroll work of inlaid satinwood, tulipwood and burl against a background of glowing rosewood.
The finish has only minuscule scratches or mars, and the interior of this virtuoso secretary is beautiful with tiny drawers and compartments.
Dimensions are 21" deep, 46" wide, 6'10" tall, the writing surface is 29" above the floor.
