Set of 6 Empire Mahogany Antique Dining Chairs 1840

These six authentic antique dining chairs are hand made of solid mahogany with flame grain backs and saber legs. The old finish has wonderful warm patina, frames are solid with various old repairs. Seats are nicely padded, and the old upholstery has the look of woven horsehair. There is a stitched repair on one of the chair seats - see photo.
Gently curved lines make these chairs as comfortable as furniture from the 1840's American Empire era gets. Size is 18" wide, 21" deep, 32" tall and seats are almost 19" high.
