Hand made about 1830, this flip top game table shows the transition from Sheraton to Empire periods. The top is cut from two single planks of solid mahogany.
Whether closed as a hall or console table, flipped up against a wall or fully open for games or serving, this is very functional furniture.
The satiny finish is excellent, there is a shrinkage separation from age in the top, see photo. Elegant spiral turned legs are especially beautiful.
Sturdy and strong, this historic American East Coast antique has a storage compartment under the top. Dimensions are 35" wide, 17" deep and 30" tall when closed, open size is about 35" square and 29" tall.
