Swedish Marquetry Cylinder Rolltop Desk

This exquisite Swedish marquetry desk with a cylinder or barrel roll has diagonally matched mahogany inset with statinwood and rosewood banding surrounding finely detailed designs.

There are only minor mars or wear, the original polished finish is excellent. The top rolls up smoothly, revealing tiny drawers and cubicles inside, and the writing surface slides forward. Brass pulls and mounts are original from about 25 years ago.

Measurements of this serene vintage furniture are 36" wide, 19" deep and 39" tall, the writing surface is 28 1/2" high.
