Signed by famous music store, harp and piano maker, "Lyon & Healy of Chicago," this 1895 era pump or reed organ was made for a church, theater or public hall - the back side is paneled and finished.
Still a strong player, every key works on this historic pedal operated musical instrument. The solid quarter sawn oak case has its original finish which is very well preserved. Waxed and buffed, it needs only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain its antique patina.
There is a sliding cover over the keys, and more "stops" or voices than is typical. The carved music desk does not appear original on this American made furniture.
Lyon and Healy still produces harps in Chicago.
Size is 47" wide, 25" deep, 53" tall and the top surface is 41 1/2" high.
