This one of a kind folk art clock case from about 1910 is an example of tramp art, using recycled wooden crates and salvage wood, whittled by hand by an untrained carver.
The only recognizable motif is oak leaves and acorns on this completely hand crafted furniture, which is uneven and out of square. Inside the wavy glass door is a shelf that held a clock that is long gone.
The dull and dark exterior finish is worn but original on this picturesque piece from the north woods of Wisconsin, descended from a single family.
Size is 20" wide, 74" tall and 16" deep.
Item # G-C3191
