This antique roll-top desk is from the Arts & Crafts or Mission Oak period about 1910, crafted of quarter sawn oak with a "C" shaped roll top. The rich deep finish is in excellent condition with small mars at the edges for character, see photos. Brass feet protected the desk when mopping floors.
Deep dovetailed drawers include a large file drawer, two pull-out shelves add workspace. The roll glides smoothly, inside are tiny cubicles and drawers plus pencil and letter holders. A compartment door key and lock still works.
Clean lines and rich natural wood grain distinguish this American made office furniture, which can be disassembled for moving. The rolltop lock has no key.
Size is 54" long, 31" deep, 43" tall, the work area is 30 1/2" high, the kneehole is 21 1/2" wide and 24" high.
