This one of a kind craft project is typical of the early 1900's craze of using a "wood burner" to engrave a grapevine motif on this pedestal or plant stand.
Maple wood is completely covered with the burned in vine design against a textured background. The finish is in excellent condition on this American made folk art. The tool was often heated in a fire and there were also electric burners.
Size is 13" square and 36 1/2" tall.
