A brass fire screen from the very early 1900's has both Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau influence. Cast and hand hammered brass has glowing patina on this American made antique.
Made to sit on the hearth in front of a fireplace, this screen acted as a "thermostat," and could have decorated a hearth in summer as well.
Detail and hand work is impressive and size is 22" wide, 7" deep and 32" tall.
