From the famed St. Paul, MN estate of railroad magnate, James J. Hill, this imposing corner china or curio display cabinet dates from around 1890.
Solid cherry, the finish is in very fine condition with warm antique patina. The original wavy curved glass doors have tiny chips at the corners, see photos.
Shelves adjust on wooden supports, and have rails to display plates if desired. Because of the shelves wide front curve, items need to be balanced, or a nail at the back corner would secure each shelf. The lock with original gilt bronze escutcheon and handle still works on this American made furniture.
Size is 48" tip to tip across the front, 54" tall and each side is 34" deep from the front tip of the crown.
