A splendid example of Hepplewhite or Federal furniture from the late 1790's, this solid cherry chest or dresser is in beautiful condition. The satiny finish is in excellent condition on richly figured grain with warm patina.
Large graduated drawers have tiny hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms. Brasses are a century old but not original on this East Coast American made antique. Square nail heads are visible on this expertly hand crafted furniture.
Dimensions are 45" wide, 21' deep and 45" tall.
