A genuine "Pietre Dure" or inlaid semi-precious hard stone table is magnificent as a dining or conservatory table.
This vintage Italian table from about 40 years ago has marquetry patterns of rare marbles and onyx form classical patterns on the top. Workshops for this artistry were founded by the Medici family in 1588 in Florence, and the artistry is justifiably famous ever since.
The separate charcoal marble rectangular base has some restorations and is structurally sound.
A separate piece, the top has small losses and cracks for character as shown and has a fine polish. Measurements are 90" long, 49 1/2" wide and 29 1/2" tall.
