Signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke of Cincinnati, Ohio," this pair of five stack lawyer's or barrister's bookcases dates from about 1900.
Solid birch hardwood has an excellent reddish brown Mahogany finish. Lift up doors have brass knobs and old wavy glass on this American made antique library furniture.
Sections, not all with labels, fit books up to 11" tall and 8" deep. Bases and tops are also separate stacking modules, patinated metal mounts can connect side by side if desired.
Overall size is 34" wide, 11" deep and 62 1/2" tall.
