An outstanding Georgian period linen chest or dresser was hand made in New England about 1760.
Richly figured solid walnut has warm patina and an excellent finish. There are small shrinkage separations from age, see photos. Graduated drawers have chamfered bottoms and hand cut dovetail joinery, sides have been restored to glide smoothly, see photos. Brasses are over 100 years old, but not original.
Block feet are well proportioned on this American made antique furniture. Square cut nail heads are visible. Size is 41" wide, 21" deep and 34 1/2" tall.
