Crafted in the Sheraton manner about 50 years ago, this solid walnut chest or dresser is signed, "Wm. Jungbauer Maker, St. Paul" MN.
The finish is in excellent condition. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints on this vintage hand made American furniture.
William Yungbauer was brought from Vienna to help build the mansion of railroad magnate, James J. Hill, and later opened his own cabinetry shop. His son had the same name and continued the workshop until his death in 2011.
Measurements of this exquisite chest are 40" wide, 21 1/2" deep and 35" tall.
