A traditional Georgian period highboy or tall chest on chest was hand crafted in New England about 1770.
Solid cherry and birch, the renewed finish is in excellent condition on this graceful antique furniture.
Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms. The hand planed back is attached with cut nails. There are carved wooden pegs at lower joints, the top has exposed hand cut dovetail joints as well. Brasses are very old but not original.
This historic chest is two separate pieces for easier moving.
Size 42" wide, 21" deep and 68" tall.
