A sweet little country pine secretary desk with bookcase top from about 1860 would be functional in a kitchen as well.
The restored gleaming finish is in very fine condition, preserving just enough stains and dings for a little antique character. Inside the locking drop front is a small secret drawer plus hidden compartments with sliding trap doors under the drawers as shown.
There are shrinkage separations from age, see photos. Doors have original wavy glass, locks and keys work. Shelves adjust on wooden supports. Cut square nails are visible, the back is rough sawn and glass doors have carved wooden pegs at the joints. American hand made rustic furniture, the upper section is removable for easier delivery.
Dimensions are 35" wide at the crown, 18" deep, 81 1/2" tall and the desktop slopes up from 29 1/2" high at the front edge.
