Carved with swags of three dimensional fruit and paw feet in the Renaissance manner, this palatial solid walnut dining set includes a table and six chairs from about 1925.
The table has a restored finish in excellent condition, enhancing the matched burl top with genuine rosewood, tulipwood and ebony banding. Richly carved, the trestle base is graceful on this American made antique furniture. There are mars and wear at the edges for a little character, see photos.
There is one original matching 24" wide leaf, another plain later leaf is 17 1/2" wide.
Measurements are 45" wide, 31" tall, legroom is 26 1/2" and 72" long when closed, with both leaves in place, length is 113 1/2" overall.
Chairs have brass nailhead trim and the upholstery is not worn but has some fading and snags in spots, see photos. There is over a yard of extra fabric included. Large and comfortable frames are tight and strong, the finish has a few touchups.
Two armchairs measure 24" wide, 25" deep, 45" tall and seats are 19" high, four side chairs are 22" wide and 22" deep.
