This straightforward corner cupboard was hand crafted of solid cherry in Ohio about 1840. Doors have old wavy glass panes, one has a hairline crack, see photos. Carved wooden pegs at the joints and square cut nails are authentic.
The old finish is very well preserved, waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Inside shelves have grooves to display plates. There is just enough wear, mars and stains for a little character.
The rough hewn back is attached with square cut nails on this American made antique furniture. Brass hinges are old but not original.
When placed in a corner, the sides extend 39" from the back corner, it is 49" across the front and 86" tall.
