A Victorian period cast iron safe from the 1890's is signed "Hibbard Safe Co., Milwaukee" and the working combination lock is signed "Yale." Inside are a tiny drawer and a compartment, both with working keys. The combination is included.
Original paint and pin striping are worn, especially on the top, see photos. Original lettering is the first owner, "J. W. Schroeder." The finish has been protected with clear varnish. Nickel mounts are original on this American made antique.
Size is 14" wide, 17" deep and 23" tall.
