A Dutch sextant with case has an original label, signed "W. Boosman & Co., Amsterdam," plus calibration records. This nickel finished nautical instrument from (18)97 appears to be in working order, but we have no sailors on staff and cannot be certain. The instrument bears the same engraved signature.
The solid mahogany case has losses and an original finish with just enough wear for a little antique character.
Size is 12" x 10" and 5 1/2" tall when closed.
