This pair of traditional corner cabinets from England actually includes the slightly darker Georgian period one from about 1830, and the other was created as an exact copy about 1890 to make a pair. Both are mahogany with inlaid satinwood banding and have individual glass panes in the doors. The older glass is wavier, of course.
The Georgian period cupboard has square cut nails and hand planing marks.
Old finishes on both are very well preserved, with just enough wear, mars and shrinkage separations from age for a little antique character. All locks work. Shaped upper shelves have grooves to display plates.
Dimensions are 29" across the crown, 67" tall and sides are 20" from the back corner to the front tip of the crown.
