An opulent occasional chair from the Victorian period about 1875, this solid walnut chair has inlaid ebony in classical marquetry patterns. The original finish has warm patina and just enough wear for antique character.
Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm glow. The richly carved and pierced frame is strong and tight.
Newly upholstered and tufted in European fabric, the seat is comfortable and supportive. Size of this picturesque American made chair is 22" wide, 28" deep, 42" tall and the seat is 19" high.
