A classical Empire round dining table dates from the 1840's, and has two leaves, one is 12 1/2" and the other is 23 1/2" wide. The finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique mahogany furniture.
An imposing pedestal base has beautifully figured flame grain. There have been various restorations over the years. The wider leaf has a slight wave, see photos. With both leaves in place, there is a little flex at the ends.
Measurements are 55" diameter, 29 1/2" tall, legroom is 24 1/2" and with both leaves in place, length is 7' 5 1/2" overall.
