A beautiful French armoire from about 1900 is genuine rosewood with banded and matched grain.
The three dimensional crest has been repaired on this European antique furniture. The original finish is very well preserved, waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. There are small warps and shrinkage separations from age plus some mars at the edges, see photos. A key operates the double throw lock in the door.
Shaped and beveled mirrors are original. The contrasting birdseye or curly maple interior is empty, ready to install shelves or a closet pole if desired. There Adjustable wooden shelf supports are included. Because of the heavy doors, this historic armoire should be anchored to the wall or have weight inside for stability. For easier moving, this wardrobe can be disassembled.
Measurements are 56" wide, 21" deep, 8' 5" tall and interior depth is 16."
