Expertly made about 1900 for a dentist, this oak dental cabinet is functional for a collector or as a jewelry chest.
The deep finish is in excellent condition on solid quarter sawn oak. Cut glass and brass knobs plus cast brass feet are original on this historic furniture. Lift and slide-in glass doors have old wavy glass.
Inside are sliding shelves with later removable oak trays. Side doors open to shallow compartments for dental charts, they could be fitted for jewelry if desired. Three upper compartments have removable glass or metal shelves behind wavy glass doors. Drawers have tiny dovetail joints on this superior quality antique. In the center is a tin hopper for waste or towels. There will always be the faint "dentist office" scent when opened.
Dimensions are 42" wide, 18" deep and 63" tall. See 30 photos on Harp Gallery website that enlarge to full screen size.
