Hand crafted about 1840 during the Empire period as a chairside sewing or "work" table, this sweet little antique could be an end table or nightstand as well.
Walnut with matched flame grain panels, the top is cut from a single wide plank. The finish is in excellent condition on all sides and the back, preserving a few mars at the base for character. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms on this American made furniture.
Dimensions are 20" wide, 16" deep and 29" tall.
