A superlative stacking Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak five stack lawyer's or barrister's bookcase dates from about 1905, and is signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke of Cinn., Ohio."
Leaded glass doors have original wavy panes. Quarter sawn oak has an excellent renewed finish on this American made antique Craftsman library furniture. The base and top are also separate interlocking sections, patinated brass knobs are also original.
Overall size is 35" wide, 11" deep and 70" tall. Sections will accommodate books up to 9 1/2" deep and graduate in height, there are two - 9" tall, a 10" tall, a 11" tall and a 12" tall.
