A Georgian design English dining set from the 1950's includes a double pedestal banded table with three leaves plus ten chairs.
The table has solid mahogany pedestals with brass paw feet and wheels. The top is matched and banded yew wood, the maker's signature is lost. Three original 18" wide leaves match and fit very well on this superior quality vintage furniture. The satiny restored finish is in excellent condition on this elegant furniture made in Great Britain. Table measurements are 44" wide, 30" tall, legroom is 27" and length when closed is 6,' with all three leaves in place, length is 10' 6" overall.
Ten chairs have top quality European fabric in extremely fine condition, there is slight discoloration from the glue attaching braid around the bottom edges, see photos. Solid cherry frames are tight and strong, there are only minor touchups to the original glossy finish.
Two armchairs are 23" wide 22" deep, 38" tall, seats are 19" high and 16" deep, the eight side chairs are 21" wide.
