Hand carved with grapevines in France about 1915, a wonderful Art Nouveau period sideboard and china cabinet or back bar has graceful curved detailing.
Solid fruitwood with raised elm burl panels, the original mirror and window are beveled. The top of the base has been revarnished for durability, the rest of the finish is original and very well preserved on this antique furniture.
Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain the warm antique patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Original hardware has a matching grapevine motif. The top center door and lower doors have working keys, upper outside doors do not.
Drawers have solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints. For easier moving, the upper section is removable.
Dimensions are 56" wide, 21" deep, 83" tall and the base is 40" high.
