A genuine bronze bust of a lovely young woman has its original gold dore finish and red marble base. Signed by famous Belgian sculptor, "Georges Vander Straeten," who lived 1851-1927. This antique sculpture dates from about 1900.
She turns slightly and has a bright gaze and flowing hair. The pedestal and base are famous French "blood" marble on this statue. There is wear in places on her burnished 24k gold skin, see photos. Her hair and mandolin have a contrasting patinated finish.
Size of this work of art is 10" wide, 8" deep and 20" tall.
