A French marble mantel clock from about 1900 has a sculpture of a young woman with a pitcher and an angel or cherub with bunches of wine grapes, signed "Le Raisin," or The Grape.
The base of this elegant antique is red marble. An original brass movement is signed "France," and runs accurately for a week on winding. A silvery bell counts the hour and rings the half hour. The hand painted dial is porcelain.
Deeply detailed, the statues are cast spelter alloy metal with an original dark bronze patina.
Size is 18" wide, 7" deep and 15" tall.
