A charming low cabinet was hand carved of solid oak during the late 1700's in Wales, the part of Great Britain southwest of England, and would make a functional wide TV console.
Every surface is hand hewn, there are wooden pegs at the joints and securing the top and back instead of nails or screws. There are shrinkage separations from age on this antique country furniture. Numerous keyholes have no remaining locks that work.
The top has been revarnished for durability. The rest of the old finish has been waxed and buffed so that only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain the rich patina.
Measurements are 68" long, 19" deep and 28" tall.
