A splendid Victorian period chest or dresser with marble top and mirror was hand carved about 1860, with three dimensional crests and fruit pulls.
The restored finish on flame grain mahogany is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. There are shrinkage separations from age.
Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and graceful bow fronts, the top drawer has a curly "birdseye" maple interior. The original shaped marble has been polished and sealed with finish to resist stains. The wall mirror is original with a little antique "smoke" to show its age.
The chest is 48" wide, 24" deep and 33 1/2" tall. The mirror is 47" wide, 3" deep and 31" tall.
