A traditional Georgian style breakfront china cabinet or bookcase from the 1940's is signed by famous maker, "Berkey & Gay."
The original finish is well preserved with some wear. There are also various losses at the edges that have been retouched, see photos.
Oval medallions are banded and center drawers have matched flame grain. Upper shelves have grooves to display plates. Grillwork separates individual panes of glass.
Drawers have solid mahogany sides with dovetailed joints on this American made vintage library or dining room furniture. Hardware is original, one key operates the upper door, another the two lower doors.
Size is 46" wide, 15" deep and 77" tall.
