Crafted for a butcher shop around 1900, this well worn chopping block is solid maple hardwood with dovetail joints holding the massive top together. Useful as a small kitchen island, it could also serve as a wine and cheese tasting table.
Very well worn with over a century's use, the top has been oiled to be usable. Sides and turned legs have a restored finish in excellent condition, preserving losses and stains for antique character. Iron bolts run through the top of this American made country store furniture.
Dimensions are 20" by 20" and 34 1/2" tall.
