From the Hepplewhite period about 1760, this exquisite "Pembroke" or dropleaf table has a top and leaves cut from single wide planks of cherry and curly or tiger maple legs with inlaid stringing.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on the shimmering grain, preserving just enough stains and mars for a little antique patina. A drawer has a chamfered bottom and hand cut dovetail joints, the brass pull appears original. Proportions are beautiful on this American made East Coast furniture.
Dimensions when closed are 32" x 19" and 29" tall, with both leaves raised, the top is 32" x 36."
