This Hepplewhite period chest from about 1790 was hand crafted of richly figured walnut with delicate inlaid "stringing" and was said to be from Pennsylvania.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving lots of shrinkage separations, losses and mars for antique character.
American made, drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms. Drawer sides are restored as needed to slide smoothly. Pulls are antique but not original. Feet are subtly flared.
Dimensions are 38 1/2" wide, 20 1/2" deep and 42" tall.
