Hand made around 1800 during the late Georgian period, a charming corner cabinet could hang on the wall or sit on a table or counter.
Solid fine grained oak, there is inlaid mahogany banding around the door panels. The old finish has warm antique patina with a few stains and mars for character. There is a shrinkage separation on the hand cut diagonal joint of the lower panel, see photos.
Both panels have beautiful highly figured burr oak grain. The lock is missing, the knob is from about 125 years ago. A hand embossed brass escutcheon appears original, the brass turnbuckle is over 100 years old. Hand cut nailheads are visible on the rough sawn backsides.
Fine country house furniture from England, dimensions are 31" across the crown, 38" tall and each side is 23" deep from the back corner to the front tip of the crown.
